Public bug reported: Binary package hint: beagle
The current version of Beagle in Gutsy is 0.2.17, and it has been verified to be broken in a few respects such as evolution support (due to API changes). To address these issues, a special bugfix release (0.2.18) was made. This release does not contain any new features and as the name suggests, is purely a bugfix one. A short summary of changes follows: * Fix API breakage with the new evolution-sharp (libevolution2.0-cil) * Greatly improve indexing overhead with the beagle-build-index tool * No longer recrawl directories if an inotify watch can't be setup. This fixes the looping bug of death when the screensaver kicks in. * Display a warning in the log if the number of inotify watches runs out. * Fix numerous b.g.o bugs such as #463803, #466891 and #463003 (see attached changelog for full list) The current trunk for beagle maintained by kkubasik[1] has been built and tested on Gutsy, and no regressions were found. All in all, without this update Beagle's evolution support will be essentially unusable. 1. https://code.launchpad.net/~beaglepack/beagle/gutsy ** Affects: beagle (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- UVF exception request for Beagle 0.2.18 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/139262 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
