The case "utopic 2a" (or "trusty 1a") is basically the same as above, only that 
the actual lock time depends on how the "lock-after-screensaver"-time of 
light-locker is configured. Again a test, that keeps xfpm out of the picture:
- killall xfce4-power-manager
- systemd-inhibit --what=handle-lid-switch --who=me --why=test --mode=block 
sleep 1000
- light-locker --lock-after-screensaver=1
- sleep 20 && xset dpms force off
- close lid

Result: 20 sec. nothing, light-locker registers the screen blanking and
locks the screen, if the lid is closed the system suspends.
