I confirm [1] fixes the issue for us (ppc64el). For Vivid, can the patches incorporated, or the overall package be upgraded to sid's version? Also affects Trusty and Utopic (same package version as Vivid [3]) It'd be nice to the LTS stream, at least. Can the patches be incorporated / package upgraded too?
