Public bug reported: I would like to request UVF exception for libgphoto2 2.4.0 package.
libgphoto2 provides access to photo download/upload/delete for digital cameras and it is used by key photo applications in Ubuntu/Kubuntu, including digikam, f-spot, gthumb, kipi-plugins... 2.4.0 primarily provides (more info in NEWS attachment): - add USB IDs/support for almost 50 new cameras on market - improved PTP2 driver (widely used by newer cameras) - several bug fixes (even some regressions introduced by 2.3.1, like bug 110065) API/ABI was only extended (new C functions added), therefore soname bump was not needed (more details in NEWS file). I have merged the package from debian (2.4.0-2) with ubuntu changes and have provided test packages in my PPA (https://launchpad.net/~lure/+archive). Merged package includes additional bug-fix from upstream SVN, that was identified during regression testing. Request for regression testing was requested through: - mailing list: https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-devel-discuss/2007-September/001619.html https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/kubuntu-devel/2007-September/001915.html - bug 139563 - forums: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=550881 All reports until now were positive and the only regression was addressed by including ptach from upstream SVN. ** Affects: libgphoto2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- UVF exception 2.3.1 -> 2.4.0 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/139652 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
