Public bug reported:

Using MPlayer2 2.0-728-g2c378c7-2ubuntu3 with libvdpau_va_gl 0.3.4-1 (by
prepending "VDPAU_DRIVER=va_gl" before the mplayer command), the display
becomes white while fast-forwarding/rewinding. It appears as if the
frames are just added in terms of brightness instead of replacing the
previous frames.

The output of "VDPAU_DRIVER=va_gl vdpauinfo":

display: :0   screen: 0
[VS] Software VDPAU backend library initialized

libva info: va_getDriverName() returns 0
