Public bug reported: When entering overview, the zoom-out animation leaves every intermediary image drawn on screen. This produces a kind of trail fon every window. Also, when searching for an app in overview (typing its name), all intermediary results from search-as-you-type remain displayed (they should disappear as the search string gets more precise).
Attached screenshot shows an example of the problem My card is NVIDIA Corporation GF108GL [Quadro 600] (rev a1). I have a dual screen (extended desktop) but problem is the same with just 1 screen. I tried with the nouveau driver and with all versions of nvidia’s proprietary driver available in the repos: same result. I tried several themes (now using the default with Adwaita). This has been plaguing me since Trusty. Upgrading to Utopic didn’t bring any solution. Unity works just fine on the same machine. The rest of gnome-shell works as expected (including the animation to switch desktops). ** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "Screenshot of the problem (I use 2 monitors)" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1420212/+attachment/4316219/+files/Screenshot%20from%202015-02-10%2011%3A05%3A21.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1420212 Title: Severe remanence in gnome-shell overview To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1420212/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
