  - Booted the laptop from usb memory stick with Ubuntu ISO image on it;
  - Choosed to install Ubuntu
  - Choosed to install updates but not 3rd party software
+ - Installation runs for a while, then reported it has crashed; it looked like 
it happened while installing GRUB.

+ The same happened again, after choosing not to install updates.
