I've taken the patches Sergio provided in #3 and #4 and created a pkg out of it. Uploaded right now at:
https://launchpad.net/~allee/+archive/ubuntu/test Test: module build now again with 3.13.0-45-generic trusty kernel and find /afs/ourcell/bigsubdir -ls > /dev/null worked without error on cmdline or kern.log. Warning: I've no idea about openafs kernel sources.
