Public bug reported:

in ubuntu gutsy if i remove the Documents directory nautilus won't show
up anymore. With this i mean that launching it clicking on the resources
menu won't work and even calling it from gnome-terminal will end in a
hopeless wait. Restoring the Documents directory makes nautilus come
back to life.

I sometimes noticed during the time i kept 'Documents' in the .Trash
that the graphical interface (i mean the one coming after ubuntu
splashscreen) don't boot. Perhaps this two things are related
