I seem to (in Ubuntu Gutsy development version) be experiencing this problem again. I'll try to provide as much information as possible.
Fstab: # /etc/fstab: static file system information. # # <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass> proc /proc proc defaults 0 0 # /dev/sda6 UUID=bc032485-0de6-4177-be35-9b3b5d5c811a / ext3 defaults,errors=remount-ro 0 1 # /dev/sda4 UUID=84d07957-7b54-40a8-9767-00f1fcb44cb4 /boot ext2 defaults 0 2 # /dev/sda1 UUID=3007-17F2 /media/sda1 vfat defaults,utf8,umask=007,gid=46 0 1 # /dev/sda2 UUID=320D-180E /media/sda2 vfat defaults,utf8,umask=007,gid=46 0 1 # /dev/sda5 UUID=45C9-C239 /media/sda5 vfat defaults,utf8,umask=007,gid=46 0 1 # /dev/sda7 UUID=470147ef-2479-4b69-b9cd-05e2ac2340d4 none swap sw 0 0 /dev/scd0 /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto 0 0 The output of fsck is available at http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v128/Mathiasdm/dosfstools/ I'm sure there's some kind of command to see this too, but I don't know it ;-) The boot loader is Grub, by the way. I'll check on next boot if my BIOS setup has 'Logical Block Adressing' activated. /media/sda1 turned out to be a 'Norton Ghost' partition, so I can reinstall Windows. /media/sda2 and sda5 are Windows partitions. -- Boot fs-check error - Differences between boot sector and back-up https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/72293 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
