I tried installing dbus but it's already installed and updated to the latest
version.

My version of f-spot is the following:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo apt-cache show f-spot | grep -i version
Version: 0.4.0-0ubuntu1

** Affects: f-spot (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
