Public bug reported: Sometimes (three occasions in the last month) my Nexus 7 can't play media files. If I select a video in the Video scope, the player launches but displays a dialog saying "Error playing video \n Fail to connect with playback backend". If I select an audio file in the Music scope, the music app opens, but th file doesn't play and the user interface does nothing.
On the last two occasions I noticed apparmor messages in syslog. I will attach the most recent syslog. The players have played these audio and video files successfully at other times. On the most recent occasion, I powered the device off twice without fixing the problem but another power cycle three days later fixed it.
