Which distribution and which graphics card are you using? I have just tried this in Trusty 14.04.2. I have wine, nvidia-331, nvidia-331-uvm, nvidia-opencl-icd-331, ocl-icd-libopencl1, nvidia- modprobe and darktable installed.
