I do not think a Diodon bug tracker is the right place to ask such a question... ;).
Also do not really see the problem with this setting which is in fact not a work around but an additional privacy option - any clipboard manager needs to store you copy events somewhere they only difference is that there is a privacy option that Diodon obeys and the others don't.
