I have found the triggering condition on my box: I have set the next text entry source shortcut key (System Settings -> Text Entry) to "Shift + Shift R", i.e., pressing both shifts together. If I remove this shortcut, then the problem disappears.
Moreover, this issue affects gedit's find input entry (pressing shift+anything closes the find entry immediately, effectively making search unusable), and also web browser input sometimes: for example, I could not rename a Google Sheets document's sheet with uppercase letters, as the in-place edit entry for renaming closed immediately if I tried pressing Shift+anything. Using Firefox 35.0.1. I do not know where to report this exactly; I accept any suggestions... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1409353 Title: Copy paste stops working after shift key at rename in nemo To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nemo/+bug/1409353/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
