Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus-cd-burner
Steps to reproduce on my system: 1. Install a 4x-12x CD RW disc into the CD RW drive. 2. Launch the GNOME CD/DVD burner (for burning a data CD). 3. Copy some data into the burner. 4. Start writing the CD by clicking the write button in the burner. Select the maximum supported speed in the dialog. Expected results: The burner shall burn the CD without errors. Actual results: Bugs: 1. The dialog that is shown after pressing the write button does not show speeds under 16x. 2. The buttons in the dialog for writing are initially coloured dark brown. When I move mouse over the buttons they get coloured normally. 3. Writing the CD stops with an error dialog saying "error while writing" (may be different words in the English version) when the progress bar is full. 4. The CD is empty after the attempted writing. I have had similar results with CD-R discs, too.
