Same for me: suspend / resume worked in Trusty (with xserver-xorg-video-intel_2.99.910-0ubuntu1) In Ubuntu Vivid (with xserver-xorg-video-intel_2.99.917-1~exp1ubuntu2build1) it is broken. Same behavior - screen stays black and I cannot switch to text console neither.
