Thanks for your bug. Upstream strongly recommended people to not use
imap4v1 and it looks like they don't intend to spend efforts trying to
set up migration code so people who decided to use imap4v1 have to
update their configuration. We don't have the manpower at the moment to
work on a such feature in a distribution specific way, better to argue
upstream if you feel strongly about it
