Do a "mkdir -p /var/lib/libvirt/qemu/channel/target/" - that should fix it. It should have been created on install, but wasn't, and I guess the package update doesn't create the directory. You might also make sure that owner and group are set correctly, here they are "libvirt-qemu" and "kvm", respectively.
