After upgrading to 14.04 I was not asked to enter my password. I am
lucky to have my PC in my house where no else can come in. I updated the
system as soon as I get information, and often I got a new kernel. I had
kernel Ubuntu 14.04 LTS kernel 3.2.0-30, but got often new kernels so I
have now kernels ending in -34.... up to -46 both generic and recovery
mode, but none of them works. It ends up with a dead keayboard and dead
mouse, so I have to go back to 3.2.0-30. to boot the system. So far I
had access to my USB-Disks, but ten I saw 10.10 was released so I hoped
that would solv my problems but it was really a disaster. The upgrade
went wrong and endit up with a message like "installation failed,
backing up" (I am not shure of the excact words). After that I had no
access to my USB disks. See the screendump below.

Now I can't do an update or upgrade any more

I have the target for my backup on one USB-disc and the backup program
can't access that disc, so I have big problems now. Hope you can help me
to get back a good Ubuntu-system, that I love when tit works as expected.
