If "default" means the first thing I see when I install the "fallback" desktop, then the "default" configuration does not have a way to log out.
Several minutes of googling tells me I can use gnome-session-quit in the terminal. OK, I can memorize that... but I would not call this "easily usable" and certainly not by non-skilled users. I also tried to google for how to install indicator-applet, and found that there are a dozen to choose from. I tried to find how to manually add User Menu / Shutdown applets to the panel, and couldn't find it. As a new Ubuntu user, I want a system that is easy to log out from, and this is not that. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1423182 Title: Gnome-flashback: No (easy) way to log out To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/1423182/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
