Looks like the /etc/X11/Xsession wrapper is being used; it's trying to launch an Upstart session. In this case you need to export: DESKTOP_SESSION="gnome-fallback" XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP="Unity" in order for the upstart Xsession.d scripts to work properly. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1251281 Title: gnome-session-flashback/Unity fails to start without hardware acceleration in cloud/remote environments (Forwarded-X/XRDP/VNC/NX/X2GO/Chromoting) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-session/+bug/1251281/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
