that particular bug seems to have been quashed for me I can switch between VT's and X. where as before I could switch to any VT and get a blank screen from which I could not return from and either had to push power button or CTRL+ALT+DEL or hard reset. I have amd64 gutsy though and used envy to to compile drivers for generic and rt kernels.
