Public bug reported: The CPU monitor will spike and mate-notification-daemon is the culprit.
This usually occurs when I awake from suspend, connect or disconnect from a network, connect or disconnect my bluetooth mouse, etc. I have to go in and kill the process to get the CPU down to normal range. Normally, I get a notification that X is connected / disconnected, etc. The notification never comes and the CPU spikes. I expect the notification without the high CPU spike. This is my first bug report that I remember and I'll certainly be happy to give any information I can.
