@penalvch: I am on the latest BIOS/EFI firmware with my Surface Pro 2 and have got the same problem:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date 2.05.0150 11/27/2014 In order to use Marvell Wifi, I installed the mainline kernel 3.16.
