And btw, I guess I made a stupid mistake for which I do apologize - chose wrong 
LP bug report. My original issue was related to the fact that nvidia 
331.113-0ubuntu0.0.4 fails to build against the upcoming (already present in 
-proposed) linux-image-generic-lts-vivid kernel, which is 3.19. This bug is 
about nvidia-331-updates 331.38-0ubuntu3 which, as far as I am aware, can be 
easily upgraded to the official 331.113-0ubuntu0.0.4 by enabling trusty-updates 
repo and it builds against 3.13 just fine:
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty-updates main restricted
