Hi Joseph, I tried both 4.1 rc2 and 4.1 rc3 only for a couple hours and did not experience the trackpad issue. However, I had to revert back to 3.19 due to too many issues, like the Broadcom wireless card not working, Virtualbox failing to load, and no sound, rending my system unusable for normal operation. Therefore I didn't have time to test more thoroughly. If someone else would like to give it a go that'd be great. For now I won't add any tags.
