No. 3.19.0-16-generic will not boot normally. In recovery mode it boots but with no mouse or keyboard function. My experience with recent kernels is the same as Nils'. The 3.16 kernels may take a few stalled boots hardware power key shutdowns and reboots to work. I think the 14.04 LTS kernels were ok and the original quetzal 12.10 ones were ok.
