I can confirm this is still an issue.

I'm using a Lenovo W550s, fairly recent install of Xubuntu 15.04 (see
attached ubuntu-bug output).


The xfconf pointers xml file had explicit values for these options in
the synaptics tap action property, which presumably were copied from
some initial configuration, but I can't track down the origin of those
values (RT=2, RB=3).

Strangely, it appears xserver-xorg-input-synaptics disables corner
tapping by default, and xfce4-settings never touches the value, so
arguably this bug isn't really xfce4-settings' fault, but I really don't
know who else to blame ;-)

And while we're on the topic, I suppose the  tap and drag gesture should
probably also be disabled when disabling tap click?
