Public bug reported: While installing Ubuntu Server I got to the Network Configuration step where I'm asked to specify which DNS servers I'd like to use.
In my case I wanted to go with 2 from OpenDNS and 2 by Google and added them all like this (space is the delimiter): 208.67.222.222 208.67.220.220 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 I got an error about that particular step, went back and removed the last one, now it succeeded. I can think of at least 3 ways to solve this: 1. Add an appropriate guidance text within the DNS selection screen. 2. Verify the input includes no more than 2 spaces (not consequent) 3. Both. Since this is a Debian based package I think it would be appropriate to fix this also upstream once we'll get to a proper solution. Kind regards, Yaron Shahrabani. ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1476510 Title: More than 3 DNS servers fails the Networking step To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1476510/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
