See Bug #1476705 for a similar issue. It is possible to replace pstopdf with pstocairo (and return to the default) with these commands:
$ lpadmin -p <printer> -o pdftops-renderer-default=pdftocairo to switch over and $ lpadmin -p <printer> -R pdftops-renderer-default=pstopdf to switch back. In my case (HP Color Laserjet 2605), it is much better. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1095498 Title: Printing PDFs with images is hideously slow on HP LaserJet 3030 MFP To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/system-config-printer/+bug/1095498/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
