One more comment - the problem I experience is due to bad fabric of the
case of the laptop, which causes phisical contact between the mouse
touch and the display when display of laptop is closed.

Ahyway on windows there is no problem. Seems the touch part of the touch
display is turned off when the display light is turned off.

Under Linux the display turns off but the sensing touch part of the
touch display is constantly on.

I need to have the laptopn slightly (3-5 mm) open so there is no
physical contact but not opened too much as the display will turn on and
will automatically turn off my external monitor.

Therefore I belive teh correct behavior of the driver or component
should be when the LCD of the laptop turns off (even when the screen is
open) the touch functionality of the same touch screen should also be
off.
