Public bug reported: Typing 'kmail' in a konsole will start kmail and on doing anything (like quitting) kmail will freeze and I have to kill it. It turns out that kontact is started in the background which then tries to start kmail again. I had to kill kmail a total of 5 times to get rid of the problem (actually apt-get remove kmail was the last thing I did).
Asking on #kontact the following diagnosis was made "that's a problem in the desktop files, since the kmail resource backend (kolab/imap/scalix) is associated with kontact, not kmail." I think this should be corrected (read; reverted) since killing kmail leads to dataloss. Especially on dimap accounts. ** Affects: kdepim (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- ubuntu alters desktopfiles which leads to dataloss https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/144380 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a bug contact for kdepim in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
