Don't mix the nginx upstream repository and the Ubuntu nginx flavors. First, run: sudo apt-get remove nginx nginx-full nginx-common
Then, edit your apt sources and remove the nginx upstream repository. Then, run: sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install nginx-full. This remains 'not a bug' however, just a case of bad mixing of repositories. ** Changed in: nginx (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1487672 Title: package nginx-full (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: trying to overwrite '/usr/sbin/nginx', which is also in package nginx 1.8.0-1~trusty To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nginx/+bug/1487672/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
