Public bug reported: Binary package hint: acpi-support
The software acpi-support for my Acer Travelmate C202TMi is not very good. For example I can't adjust the brightness settings with any software. Only the fn+brightness up/down work because it seems they are BIOS controlled. But for example the brightness-applet is not working. Furthermore I haven't got the slider in gnome-power-manager which would allow me to dim the brightness on battery power to a certain level. The WLAN-switch turns off the WLAN radio (I assume it is BIOS controlled, too) but the LED doesn't work. However the bluetooth-switch and LED work. The available acer_acpi module ( http://code.google.com/p/aceracpi/ ) doesn't support my notebook because of the missing WMAB method. I am using an up-to-date Gutsy. ** Affects: acpi-support (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- acpi-support for Acer Travelmate C200 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/144480 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
