Sad news: I had the same crash with the 3.19.8 kernel a couple of times now. The obvious symptom is that the screen turns off and searches for a new signal source (HDMI/VGA/etc.). This time it happened when zooming in Firefox (CTRL+Mousewheel) while a Youtube video was loading in a background tab. I have tried to connect via SSH from a different machine to see if only the screen/GPU is not working correctly but it didn't go beyond login which indicates that some kind of lockup occurs.
I have attached the latest logfile from /var/crash/ Sorry for sparse/superficial information but my experience with kernel- debugging is rather limited... ** Attachment added: "linux-image-3.19.8-031908ckt6-generic.225683.crash" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1495696/+attachment/4471604/+files/linux-image-3.19.8-031908ckt6-generic.225683.crash -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1495696 Title: NMI watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#2 stuck for 22s!
