** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid ** Changed in: unity Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1405327 Title: My computer has an Intel i3 processor and no other inbuilt GPU. However, the nvidia-* latest got installed on the computer during an update process. I used sudo apt-get remove nvidia-* to remove all the nvidia related contents. Post this event, the unity-desktop has stopped working (in its full functionality i.e. the sidebar does not appear) and I am now only able to see the desktop (with the shortcut icons and wallpaper) but not able to interact with it, nor am I being able to open any applications on it. What should be done to restore lightdm to its original functionality? PS: I have already tried the sudo apt-get install --reinstall lightdm To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/1405327/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
