I have the same problem, but you can by-pass this bug with setting this 2 
option a true in the config file:
network.protocol-handler.warn-external.http
network.protocol-handler.warn-external.https

That will pop you a box where you can choose which application you want
to use to open these protocol.

The config file is in the Preferences Menu >> Advanced Tab >> Config
Editor... (in the bottom)

Type these two option in the search bar to find them for quickly.

I tried to reset :
network.protocol-handler.expose.http
network.protocol-handler.expose.https
but that didn't work, so for the moment try the first solution and that will 
work for now.
