Public bug reported: Hi,
in Ubuntu Vivid, KDE applications such as Okular, completely ignore the default applications defined in the KDE system settings. This happens with the KDE PPA that provides plasma 5.3.2 and frameworks 5.12. To reproduce: - Open the KDE system settings -> Applications -> Default applications configuration windows - Indicate that you want to use a "Different email client" - Select thunderbird as the email client - Open a document containing a mailto: link in Okular - Click on the link and see kmail popping up. Unfortunately, having configuration options that are visible but do nothing can be a major source of confusion. Does someone know if this is fixed in the upcoming Wily? ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1504462 Title: REGRESSION in Kubuntu Vivid 15.04: Okular ignores "default applications" in KDE system settings To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1504462/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
