In the meantime the headset had died so I had to buy a new one. Sadly Motorola does not manufacture these anymore so I bought another brand and that one is connecting as expected. So I cannot provide a feedback anymore and considering how old the headset is and how (not) popular it was, most probably no one can... I'd say close the bug.
