Hi Joachim, Yes, I did get the error each time I ran GIMP. I attribute the error to the installation of Adobe Reader .deb package I installed using Gdebi. Removing Adobe completely, re-installing GIMP and replacing the .GIMP folder in my home directory resolved the issue.
