Further to my above description of this issue, I have just noticed that the second copy of 'Audio CD' in PCManFM is only present when the disc is mounted. If the upper copy is right-clicked there are two options 'Unmount Volume' and 'Eject Removable Media' whereas the second copy only shows 'Unmount Volume'. If 'Unmount Volume' is clicked on either copy the second one disappears. Both copies have an arrow to their right. If that arrow is clicked on the first copy the disc is ejected whereas if it is clicked on the second copy the disc is unmounted and that copy of 'Audio CD' goes away! It would appear that one 'Audio CD' shows when there is a disc in the drive and a second one shows when that disc is mounted. They may, or may not, show up on the Lubuntu desktop. In Nemo, which only ever has one 'Audio CD' there is no option to unmount / mount the disc, just the eject option.
