Confirmed in my instance of a 64bit Feisty->Gutsy upgrade.
By default Name & Desc were selected and most menu items appeared as
they do in this bug description. Changing the menu to just Names fixes
the display...
How to change this: Right-clik on the K-Menu -> Panel Menu -> Configure
Panel, select "Menus" and change the "Menu Item Format" to "Name Only".
