Exactly the same problem, same distribution, same description. I can't get any thumbnail and CPU usage gets very high.
I have also noticed that ~/.thumbnails don't exists, I'm not if it is or not normal on this distribution. After I have been created the folder, the problem continues with no changes. What I see: 1. No thumbnails in any folder 2. High CPU usage and noisy vent because of that. How to reproduce it: 1. Open nautilus on a folder *with some files that show preview* (Images, PDF..etc) 2.
