Same on Assus K555L with KDE, the problem stooped or at least occurs rarely when ever you stop the turn of touch pad functionality on key enter form synaptic touch pad set up in System Settings->Input Device->Touchpad->l. Enable/Disable touch. pad. And remove Disable touch pad when typing . Hope it helps.
