Do you get no sound from anything in ubuntu or just from the game searchandrescue?
If the former is the case, this bug is the wrong one, and I'd suggest filing one against alsa ( https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa- lib/+bugs/ ). When doing so, it might be very helpful to include the output of lspci -v to the bug report.
