Yup, I understand that the log SAYS I have new events.  But I don't see
them.

Specifically, I just did another manual sync (log snippet below).  I
looked for an event that I had added for this past Monday.  Still not
there in the app (and yes, the calendar is enabled there).  So I looked
at .local/share/evolution/calendar/<calendar-id>/calendar.ics and it
also was not in there.  So despite it saying it synced, it looks like it
doesn't save the event.
