Public bug reported: Sound Juicer application will not start on my fully updated Xubuntu 14.04 x64 system today. I tried starting it from the terminal window, and see this error while doing so:
$ sound-juicer ** (sound-juicer:18540): WARNING **: Couldn't connect to accessibility bus: Failed to connect to socket /tmp/dbus-xQCoPAmspq: Connection refused I tried to run it as root via: $ sudo sound-juicer with similar results. I have removed the files /tmp/dbus-* including the root owned ones from the sudo attempt. This sounds similar to defect: "Couldn't connect to accessibility bus: Failed to connect to socket /tmp/dbus-*" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1193236 Although all of those reported application issues have been resolved.
