Public bug reported:

Hello,

When I tried to enable 3D effect I got a message saying "The Composite
extension is not available". So I modified my xorg.conf to enable the
composite extension and I tried to enable 3D effects again. But I had a
message saying "Desktop effects could not be be enabled".

It seems to mean that Compiz Fusion isn't compatible with the ATI Radeon
9550 videocard but the 3D effects worked well when I first installed
Gusty and now it doesn't work anymore.

The bug I encountered is very similar to the one numbered #96667 but my
videocard is an ATI Radeon 9550 and I've installed and updated Gusty on
my computer.

Bye.
