Public bug reported:

Recently media-hub became dual-landable for vivid and xenial again. This
is a good occasion to finally implement some proper ABI checking. The
recommended way is to use shlibs on the packaging side and abi-
compliance-checker from the unit-test side - a good doc for this can be
found here:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/citrain/LandingProcess#Dual-
landing_and_handling_symbols

The dual-landability branch got landed under the condition that this
will be handled with priority for the next release as no symbols was
becoming a concern for core-devs.
