Public bug reported: Recently media-hub became dual-landable for vivid and xenial again. This is a good occasion to finally implement some proper ABI checking. The recommended way is to use shlibs on the packaging side and abi- compliance-checker from the unit-test side - a good doc for this can be found here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/citrain/LandingProcess#Dual- landing_and_handling_symbols The dual-landability branch got landed under the condition that this will be handled with priority for the next release as no symbols was becoming a concern for core-devs. ** Affects: media-hub (Ubuntu) Importance: High Assignee: Thomas Voß (thomas-voss) Status: New ** Affects: media-hub (Ubuntu RTM) Importance: High Status: New ** Also affects: media-hub (Ubuntu RTM) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: media-hub (Ubuntu RTM) Importance: Undecided => Critical ** Changed in: media-hub (Ubuntu RTM) Importance: Critical => High -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1532140 Title: Add ABI compatibility checks and shlibs to the packaging To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/media-hub/+bug/1532140/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
